Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 often referred to professionally as Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and was the first female to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. On the 21st of October, 2016 she debuted Pho, her debut EP for the Dreamville Records label. It was at this point that she began to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album.
